Libbe L. Siskind ….

is a successful business owner in the Hudson, Massachusetts area.  Writing has always been a hobby of hers since her days in foster care, when she started her first journal.  She enjoys writing during down time, allowing her to always keep busy.  Always one to keep occupied, she also enjoys gardening, antique collecting, and has a great passion for real estate, especially old homes which she reinvigorates with her knowledge of restoration, and eye for decor.

She has a son whom she raised and who now lives in Los Angeles, CA.

Libbe has done public speaking, at such places as Mass Mental Health Services and JFK Presidential Library, in Boston area, at a seminar for doctors and nurses about death and dying.

Extremely imaginative, she loves to beautify her surroundings with flowers and decor that would match any profession on or off TV.  Libbe has a multisided flamboyant personality that has developed over the years from a life that will unfold in the pages of coming books.

Leah Libbe always carried pens and a journal with her as a child, and now as an author working full-time at her craft, her many notebooks are full of memorable characters in the most unusual situations, such as "Christmas with the Cockroaches."

Her numerous interests have assumed secondary roles to her true passion of writing.  She has self-published five books for young children:  Hummer Bummer Bee Has Lost his Buzz, Vol. 1; Hummer Marries Zzub, Vol. 2; Please Don't Pick the PansiesFarmer Dueey Dew and Cabbage Rabbit Too; and Mae's Vacuum.  She also has several stories in the works, including a fantasy trilogy for children and young adults, The Kingdom of Irisia, and a compelling novel, The Story of Haggy Baggy, about a young girl's sudden disappearance and the effect on her family.

A Thorn in Rose's Garden, the unedited story of Libbe's life as a child in the care of her abusive stepmother, was self-published in 2011.  One reader commented, "The author tells it like she lived it...much of it will be very hard to read, and yet hard to stop reading at the same time."  She is now working on a memoir that encompasses not only that time in her life, but also all that followed.
